Please Pay Here

Our “PLEASE PAY HERE” sign lights up our checkout stand. This sign was gifted to us by Curtis, a friend we made on the road. We met Curtis in Ellensburg, he rescued us one Friday night when our van broke down. (Great story, true hero)

Curtis is a master welder and retired mechanical tinker. He loves old stuff. He had this “PLEASE PAY HERE” shell kicking around his shop for 40 years. It came out of a Rite Aide store in Ellensburg that was torn down.

He offered to turn the shell into a free standing light up sign for us. We have proudly displayed this sign since the summer of 2018 and it adds so much charm to our store.

Thank you Curtis, looking forward to seeing you again someday.
