The people you surround yourself with will influence your story. Are you choosing people who push you or people who limit you?

Fred was that influencer. That someone who made us better. He valued customer service and in-house efficiency. He taught us how to value customer service and create systems that lead us to efficiency. Fred loved color coded systems, labels, bins, jigs and routines. He was a well-oiled human machine. He taught us how to think like a well oiled machine. He taught us how to be better. How do build better. How to think big.

We spent years with Fred building stuff on his 30-acre property during the day and years sitting around a table at night talking through the next step for FFV. It was in those moments we created our future. Little bits at a time, but consistently.

It’s easy to forget that little steps every day add up to big actions. Our days compound forming big changes over time. This is what I love so much about learning and aligning myself with others who are learning. We have the ability to add to our story and others by showing up, doing the work, seeking to deliver.

Fred was a lifelong learner and at the end of his life one amazing teacher, Fred is gone now but the legacy he left, the high standards he reached for the practicality he embodies was passed to us, and we will pass it on again to our friends, our muse. through us.
