"Do you have a website?" "Can I find you on-line?" "Can I read your story somewhere?" "What's your website address?" The universe had made it clear, we needed a website. We reached out to Nikki Knutson. We had been working together on and off since 2014, calling her up to collaborate on our latest cannabis-fueled, grandiose photoshoot ideas.

Nikki took on our website project with Joy. Over the next several months she sprinkled her magic fairy dust and crafted a website that embodied our Brand. The day had finally arrived, we had our own website...Open the floodgates.

Websites are a funny thing, you obsess about this idea, the holy grail of e-commerce. The portal to everyone's pocket. Once the site goes live, it's only a matter of time until you are buried in orders, Oprah Winfrey wants to put you on her favorites list and Rolling Stones Magazine has discovered your custom Rock N Roll footwear line and is calling for an interview. . . This was not the case.

But INSTEAD, the experience of hiring Nikki to build our website turned into something even better - Slow controlled growth. Like Jill, Nikki is a secret weapon.⠀Our consistent weekly meetings have allowed us to level up as a business. Nikki, Jill and I have become a unified triangle. Each of us with very different giftings. Nikki is behind the scenes, tweaking our website, crafting & sourcing our marketing literature & creating our promotional processes. We throw her curve balls weekly and she hits them out of the park. It's fun to watch.

Working with her has created a routine, more accountability for proposed projects but most importantly freed up mental space for both Jill and myself. Through this process, we have come to realize mental space is the most valuable thing we have as humans. What you focus on is where you go.
