What we learned on the road through our music festival vending.
Jill has a knack for facilitating and supporting other people's visions. Jill had always dreamed about being a small business owner with her partner/spouse, so when she met me, it was game on and she jumped in!
Dreaming about being a business owner and actually being one, are two different realities.
Recently, I asked her what she learned from our time spent on the road from 2016-2019 and she responded:
~I learned how to take back my power when men were being pigs.
~I learned to spot energy vampires and establish boundaries.
~I learned I am not a natural when it comes to self-care and I was the only one who could change that.
~I learned how easy it is to feel jaded towards the public.
~I learned that magical moments come in all shapes and sizes. I just have to look for the magic.
~I learned the most important relationship is the one I am building with my wife.
~I learned it was important to make time for play because there is always more work to do.
~I learned that swindlers are real and I had to listen to my gut when it told me I was being manipulated or bullied into doing something I didn't want to do.
~ I learned that live music is way better than any recording.
~ I learned that a musician's life, traveling from show to show, night after night, is not easy.
~I learned that I was NOT in competition with my wife. We were a team.
~I learned that no matter how hard life was on the road, it was way better than being in church.
