FROM TRASH TO TREASURE, part 0
This photo was taken on January 6th, 2016. I really had no idea what I was doing. Not sure what I wrote on that notepad in my hand, but I believed in myself.
Having spent the previous 3 winter months lighting up in the YMCA parking lot, late at night before I took to lap swimming with the old darlings in the local pool. I found myself fantasizing about buying a trailer, and life on the road.
I wanted to be a road gypsy, a traveling vendor like the old days, those horse and buggy gigs. I imagined the locals waiving as I circled the downtown corridor on my way to the next big event I was scheduled to sell at. Little kids running behind as if I was the popsicle man. The open road, the fresh air, adventure.
.
When I bought the trailer I took out a line of credit to pay the seller $3,000.00 cash I didn't have. I had never towed anything in my life. I was living in my van and couch surfing. I didn't have anywhere to keep it. I also thought the remodel would take about 2 full weeks. (total eye roll as I write 2 weeks)
