Loving Husbands & Loving Friends

This photo was taken during the summer of 2017 at the Winthrop Rythm & Blues Festival.⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀

I found both Troy and Brett (pictured here) to be loving husbands and immediately admired their relationship. ⠀⠀⠀
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
I met them at a time when my relationship with Jill was newer and I was working through my own insecurities. I remember being curious and found myself studying the way they spoke to each other and engaged one another. They were so comfortable and their marriage so natural.

I wanted to know more about their story. How long they had been together? Are they close with their families? How did they meet? Do they ever feel in danger for being gay? Who does the dishes (😉 jk)

I found them both to be free, charming, and strong individuals. People who are both vulnerable and courageous. Humans who make the world bright and beautiful by being themselves.

Without them knowing, I found strength in their strength as a couple and comfort in the love they shared.

The world is a better place when we let people LOVE each other. Enough with the fire and brimstone, I don’t see that chapter in my book. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
